Guidelines

You will need the following information to proceed:

• Company Name and License Number
• Social Security Number
• Name, Home Address, and Home Phone Number
• Date and Place of Birth (including State, Country)
• Date of Hire for this Registration/Commission

If you are applying for an Instructor or Private Security Consultant license, please enter your full legal name in the required 'Company Name as licensed' field and S99999 in the required 'Company License Number' field.

If you are applying as Owner/Officer/Partner/Shareholder/Manager/Supervisor of a new company, please submit your online application for the company license first. After a period of 24 hours, please use the website listed below to search for your temporary license number. You will not be able to submit the online applications for the individual registrations without this number.

If you do not know the Company License Number you can do a database search from our website.

If you are a Peace Officer, you are not required to submit FBI fingerprint cards with this application. However, you must submit form PSB-49 (Peace Officer Fingerprint Waiver), and the applicable documents, plus a signed copy of the Receipt Page via the mail within 90 days of your online application.

For your convenience, after completing this application, you may use the link provided on the receipt page to schedule an appointment for electronic fingerprinting through Identix, a TXDPS authorized fingerprinting service.
